Creating the Future

A New Paradigm

What if people and stewardship of the environment replaced government.
What if the Elders worked openly in our communities on relationships and problems between citizens?
What if we supported each other to deal with changes?
What if we spent our tax money ourselves on getting along, promoting inner evolution and growth/learning, improving our environment, increasing social awareness and understanding, removing tension which causes crime, and preventative medicine. (not on pharmaceuticals, law and media, war and the military)
How about a new kind of community based on understanding one another?
We could recognize that it will be an unpredictable process, make a common decision to enter the unknown and choose the best path,  and move beyond what is holding us back.

GUIDELINES FOR THE NEW PARADIGM

Every action reflects our vision of the future to which we are committed.

Ethical understanding and deep core values underlie all we do.

Our living is truth based, rather than fear based.

We encourage personal initiative and creating will be our focus.

In our stewardship of the Earth we are accountable and responsible for our actions, with respect for the planet, people and all creatures.

We will recognize and stand for what has value and do no harm (not taking anti stands or fighting for or against anything).

These words will be commonly used:  self-sufficiency, sustainable, recycle, constructive, inclusion, communication, connection, integration, positive interpretation, intention, autonomy, abundance, listening, restoration, and renewal.

We will:

 create spaces of love,

 teach quantum theory and encourage new ways of thinking,

 develop our spiritual capabilities,

 recognize inspiration and dreams,

 fix what is damaged (make restitution),

 nurture our special children,

 resolve disputes within circles of elders,

 respect what is sacred and the traditions of others,

 give and receive love,

 share our abundance (instead of competing and struggling in scarcity),

 connect with the Source and merge in oneness whenever possible,

 our thoughts and words and deeds will be synchronous,

 overcome our limitations,

 work with healing modalities,

 make wise choices,

 save what is in danger,

 embrace all pieces of the puzzle,

 transcend and re-interpret the past and create the future now,

 and honor and protect consumers and workers and those who are vulnerable.

Our songs and poems will call in light, happiness and joy, and healing.  Celebrate with music and drumming and song often.

Women, take a look at ourselves!

ENSLAVEMENT OF WOMENKIND

Mankind may be enslaved, but look at the role women play.
Women hold the space of love for their families and nourish them, their friends and communities, right?  So what are we holding space for, and what are we nourishing?  Women are supporting and perpetuating the system.
We help men work 9-5, and if that is not enough to pay for the lifestyle agreed upon, women work 9-5 too.  The money earned goes to banks and big corporations (electric, fuel, food, etc.)  Are we promoting life in everything we do?  Are we nourishing bodies, minds and spirits?  Are we all eating life-giving food?  “Surely we are not poisoning our families”.   Are our children learning integrity and developing their potential?  “Oh, the schools take care of all of that.”
Look at what we do in addition to jobs:  Prepare 3 meals a day – “balanced diet of course”  (cook), keep homes clean (housekeeper and laundress), shop (slaves to media), drive everyone around (chauffeur supporting petroleum industry), make sure everyone is doing what supposed to do (police and judge), and keep everyone happy (clown).  Now that is a treadmill and enslavement!
What could women accomplish for humankind if we weren’t doing all of that?
Think about it.

Design for progress

MOVING TOWARD CHANGE

We are moving toward what we want:  creating peace and oneness with the universe, self-government with everyone contributing what they can, doing no harm, and taking care of each other.  (Anti stands are counter productive.)

We are identifying what does not support, is not needed and what is wrong:  1 Insurance, 2  Housing, 3 Government, 4 Food production, 5 Genetic Modification, 6  Monetary system and greed, 7 Religions that separate and turn us against each other, 8 Energy systems, 9 Environment destruction, 10 Health, 11 Calendar….

What we can do to fix it:
1 Insurance.  Form cooperatives to work together when accidents occur, operating with disclaimers, do no harm and make restitution if harm occurs unintentionally, use Restorative Process to manage disputes, and repair and rebuild together and help each other.
2 Housing.  When you purchase a property it is yours, no more paying taxes and mortgages (the end of serfdom).  What you have paid thus far is the purchase price, grandfathered, debts on ledgers are erased, with transfers hereafter negotiated by buyers and sellers according to investment and what buyer can pay in real money, without mortgages.  Land owned by government and large landholders can be granted for the homeless, and whoever wants land to live and work on a property, to be theirs as long as they want it for their future generations.  Unoccupied dwellings will be let temporarily to those with references showing that they can take care of it.
3 Government.  No taxes will be collected to pay salaries for people outside of the community.  Communities will be self- governing, as individuals become autonomous (taking care of own needs).  Money raised will be kept in communities to help with social programs and building and fixing things, organized by the community.  Trade will be determined by socially conscious entrepreneurs locally, and by what is produced and what is needed in the community.
4 Food production.  Community and individuals will produce food that is needed so that none go hungry, and share with other communities.
5 Stop  Genetic Modification!
6 Monetary systems.  Barter, trade and share.  Start cooperatives and collectives for vehicles and transportation using new technology and fueless methods.
7 Religions that separate.   If desired, religions will be based on community unity, respect for the uniqueness of individuals, honor and integrity, sacredness, and service.
8 Energy systems.       Free Energy and new technology.
9 Environment.      Clean, repair, honor, and do no harm.
10   Health.     Preventative and proactive care is the norm, with no pharmaceuticals.  We are all healers and can make our own medicines, healing each other.
11  Calendar.  Use a lunar calendar with the potential to create through aligning with “intention”.

A PLAN

A Community applies for an International Charter to become a self-sustaining intentional community according to International Charter Guidelines.  There would be grants available to assist the community, by paying salaries for the team or individuals (minimal compensation for services, @$1,000/mo., to avoid greed, and depending on the size of the community) setting up the Charter, and for infrastructure costs to establish the operating base.   There would be free housing, free energy, free water, sewer and recycling.  Infrastructure would include new technology for water purification, transportation, and utilities.  The community would be based on the Restorative Process, would handle its own Food Security, would take care of its vulnerable members, have a contingency fund, and create alternative Health and Wellness programs.
Money brought into the community would be kept in the community.  No taxes would be paid to any other governmental agency, unless people wanted to contribute.
There may be a need for a global transportation infrastructure supported by some organization, with the intention of providing efficient and affordable travel.

We have a good structure in place and could attempt to create a model for such a Charter Community in our small rural area.  The Occupy people have been thinking a lot about all of this and may be interested in having input for setting it up.  Possibly suggestions could come over the internet.
